St Andrews United FC is on the hunt for a new club secretary!

Current incumbent, Donald Gellatly, is looking to step back from the role due to ongoing health issues so the club is advertising for a replacement. However, Donald will remain on the general committee and will support the new secretary wherever necessary.

The role of secretary includes liaising with referees and opposition secretaries regarding match-day organisation, registering players with the SFA, dealing with discipline and player suspensions, forwarding incoming mail to the relevant recipients and taking minutes at committee meetings.

If you fancy becoming involved in helping to run a semi-professional football club at level seven of the Scottish league pyramid then we would like to hear from you. Fulfilling the role of secretary provides the occupant with the chance to work closely with players and coaches, gain access to games as well as getting the opportunity to see how Scottish football operates from the inside. With St Andrews United in a strong position right now, the voluntary role is fun yet challenging without being too demanding.

Anybody wishing to apply for the role of secretary is asked to send a brief email to: donaldgellatly@hotmail.com

Having good communication, computer and organisational skills is desirable. Full training will also be provided to the successful candidate in due course.
