Rian made the move to St Andrews United in the summer of 2025, bringing with him valuable experience from his time at Alloa Athletic. A naturally talented and composed defender, he is known for his technical ability and confidence in possession. Comfortable with the ball at his feet, Rian is not only reliable at the back but also capable of initiating attacks by driving forward from defence. A promising 20-year-old centre-half, Jacob joined us after impressive spells with Edinburgh University and Linlithgow Rose. A composed, ball-playing defender, Jacob has stood out with his performances over the past year and brings a strong physical presence in both penalty areas.

Jason arrived with a wealth of experience, having made over 400 appearances in the Scottish leagues. Most recently with Arbroath and Kelty Hearts, Jason was part of the Arbroath squad that secured promotion to the Scottish Championship last season. His leadership and defensive experience are a massive asset to the team.

17-year-old Anthony Gillan joined United after coming through the ranks at the Dunfermline Athletic Academy, where he developed at every youth level. A dynamic and hardworking player, Anthony is known for his tough tackling, energy, and strong mentality.

Midfielders
Current club captain, midfielder Ryan McManus initially joined the club in February 2019 after a career that included playing as a youth for Celtic and a stint in the United States. Before returning to St Andrews United, he also played for St Andrews Amateurs. McManus is recognised for his strong leadership and consistent performances on the pitch. He is one of the team’s most consistent performers and wins just about every header he goes for!

Current club vice captain, Ross Cunningham is St Andrews Utd's longest-standing player. Known for his versatility and skill, Ross is a well-rounded footballer with a cultured left foot, capable of excelling in various positions. Cunningham, nicknamed “Rossco,” joined the team on July 1, 2015, and made his debut on February 27, 2016

Formerly part of Dundee FC’s youth setup, Craik signed a contract with St Andrews United at the start of the season. With a reputation for pace and technical ability, Lewis has been instrumental in recent Saint’s successes, notably scoring a late header in the win against Hurlford Utd in the cup!

Forwards
The former Dunfermline youth player with lightening pace and a brilliant eye for goal has flourished into one of the most dangerous attacking players in the EOS leagues. Lewis recently become only the fifth player in St Andrews United’s history to score more than 30 goals a season on two occasions!

Greig brings a wealth of attacking experience to the squad. A proven goalscorer, Spence has played for a number of clubs across all levels in the Scottish leagues, and has an excellent track record of scoring goals. His sharp movement and eye for goal are expected to significantly enhance United’s attacking options.

Lewis signed from Sauchie Juniors FC in December 2023. Predominantly an attacking player, Lewis is able to play anywhere across the front line. Lewis previously played for Tayport, Kennoway Star Hearts and Hill of Beath Hawthorn. Linlithgow Rose and latterly with Sauchie Juniors.

Joe is a proven striker originally from Montrose, where he began his footballing journey. After relocating to Edinburgh, he featured for Edinburgh University and recently made headlines with a hat-trick against Sauchie. Joe adds valuable attacking experience and goal-scoring ability to our squad.

St Andrews United FC signed forward Regan Lumsden in September 2025. Lumsden made a name for himself in the Lowland Football League with Linlithgow Rose, impressing fans and opponents alike with his clinical finishing and instinctive positioning. Regan is a player who can make an immediate impact. His goal-scoring instincts and attacking versatility give Saints another dimension in the final third.
